Fashion and beauty questions?
Okay, I'm a novice when it comes to the sort, so here it goes: What is in fashion this Fall and winter? Colors, textures, graphics / patterns, accessories such as jewerly and belts, suits, etc? For beauty, what makeup look is in these seasons The last thing I want to see is outdated. What colors are in for eye shadow, polish, mascara, lipstick, lip gloss flavor (most popular), and blush? I would like your opinion on makeup looks for holiday or party to please, the same goes with clothing. If this helps me a plus size woman with a round face so please do this around my body, and / or face shape if at all possible. And the makeup I have light brown hair and blue eyes. Thanks a bunch! =)
I do not seem to change my make-up of the season - I was always taught that it was the most lady-like to wear as little as you need, and stick with muted, natural colors. I always use Elizabeth Arden Light meals and a matching foundation, cream-colored eye shadow, a little rose-brown blush and mascara. The brown color really makes blue eyes "pop". If it is a special occasion, I wear cinnamon colored lipstick, very naturally, and brown eyeliner. You should try brushing your blush (or dab if it is liquid blush) at an angle to make your face look longer and leaner. In winter I always keep plenty of wool and wool-looking material - wool skirts, Tweedy trousers, that sort of thing in houndstooth, Tartan or control - textured, wintery patterns, and pair it with clingy, slim sweaters. I own black, brown and a bright red one - black and brown are slimmer and will go with almost any clothing, while the red complements my very white skin. I usually stick with darker, earthy colors. Either that, or I wear plain, dark trousers or a pencil skirt with a blouse worn under businessy a tight v-neck sweater. If I do business with a person today, I wear a long, pointed-toed shoes with a low heel. The long, pointed shape of the shoe really makes your legs look thinner. If it's just me around the office or at a friend's house, I have just carry a couple of nice-looking black slip-on flats that I bought at Payless. I wear a lot of to-the-knee wool coats, paired with tight leather or microfiber gloves. My favorite colors are navy coats and black because they are much slimmer, with dark gloves. I pair with one of these Indian pashmina-style scarf in a light color. Personal I advocate wearing big, clunky earrings, though I can not really do it in the office. I would also like strings of pearls or Czech glass necklaces in bright colors. If I am out of town, I wear clunky jewelry, a black dress and some trendy looking shoes - high heels in patent leather, perhaps, or some glossy or metallic peep-toed heels. Remember that certain pieces of clothing will never become obsolete and can be dressed up with inexpensive jewelry and shoes - a little black dress, a blouse and pencil skirt, etc.. I personally has a certain style because I'm young and in a conservative profession. Pick up a copy of Vogue, or poke around Fashionologie.com or a similar site and assemble the thing that attracts you.
